The next generation 2014 Asylum delivers magnified flex performance through its premium Atomic Wood Core, aggressive pop and outstanding flex plus unmatched durability. The full wood core releases stored energy lightning-quick and more forcefully than ever through increased edging power while maintaining momentum on flat landings. Engineered to ride with or without fins, this board pops hard on ollies, whips for hard-core freestyle, slides right on rails and even boosts big off any wave. Our unique blend of precision laser cut channels combined with an intense rocker profile allows any riding style to excel on this board. The Chined Plane Rail combined with a progressive outline prevents spray by focusing the water down and away from the rider while providing smooth turns and maximum maneuverability. The 2014 Asylum offers a fast and snappy feel that’s engineered to take your aggressive freestyle riding to the next level. Hand built in our U.S.A. factory, the Asylum features the highest-quality and greenest materials available.

Hi, I m a big fan of Slingshot kites and I ride this kites since I start kiting. I bought this year the Asylum and I used the board 2 times. The board it s great, you have every thing that you want for a freestyle board. But my opinion is that the quality of materials and the 4D graphic is not so great. After two uses, 2 fins have cracked without even having to hit rocks. And I haven t seen a board that the graphics to erase that easy.

A perfect blend of a traditional twin tip and a more progressive free riding shape. While their's slightly more rocker in the asylum than a standard kite board in know way does that leave you wanting when it comes to upwind ability. The flex is consistent throughout the board and the wood core allows the board to maintain its pop even after countless hard landings and abusive sessions.

Love this board!! It's been a great freestyle board with fins or finless. It is my go to board for hitting features. Plenty of flex and still stiff enough to hold an edge for load and pop.

Super sick board!!! Perfect for riding finless with boots. Stiff enough to handle some heavy landings while maintaining some flex in the tips for pressing on rails. Works great with straps and fins as well. I use this board alot for teaching riders who are up on bigger light wind boards and are ready to step up to there first short twin tip.

The asylum is my favorite board that Tony Logosz has ever shaped. Aggressive, Lively, and fun. This has been my go to deck for the past two years and will be for years to come.

I really like the Asylum because the Flex is just perfect, it has enough stiffness between my feet to take hard landings and enough flex in the tips to press on a rail. The bottom shape cuts through water and tracks well upwind
