Name, Age, and all that other nonsense:
Jeff McKee
Born June twenty-fifth nineteen eighty five in Orlando Florida USA.
Cancer is my sign.
Now residing in Winter Park Florida USA.
Tallest wakeboarder in the industry.
Weight (ideal):
one hundred eighty pounds.
Weight (actual):
One hundred eighty four pounds and counting if I keep this up. Chipotle and pizza might just be ruining my life.
Set-up?
2010 Onehundredfortytwo centimeter Slingshot Response with PB Floyd shoes.
Favorite pals to ride with:
Josh Palma, Jeff House, Rob Jacques, Keith Lyman, and the whole crew at the projects.
How many days a week are you working out now?
Maybe two. There’s nothing worse than having to move that pin from 260 to 160 before I sit down to sculpt the pecs. I like to play it like I’m just coming off of an injury
That’s not enough…we need to review your contract.
Bring it.
Busch Light or Pinot Noir:
Pinot. It goes well with my lavender scarf collection and tight leather jacket.
The mountains or the beach:
The Beach. Sleeping in the sand while getting fried and listening to the beatles Sgt. Pepper. It’s a great remedy after getting washed into shore by the breakers.
Shoes or sandals:
Shoes always…Sandals make me feel like my pants should be salmon colored. I also have enormous toes and I’m not sure you would want to see them beforeyou eat lunch.
Switch or “Fakie”:
I know it’s not really possible but the word fakie makes every trick sound way cooler. Back roll to fakie…frontroll to fakie, fakie to fakie 7. See what I mean?
Continuous or 3 stage:
I can’t decide…Usually whichever one looks cooler because with FRT they all pop like a mother effer!
Favorite towing device:
Any nautique cause they have the sweetest wakes in the bizz. The pop on a Nautique wake mixed with the flex in our decks is enough to boot you over the moon.
# of girls who have actually fallen for “Hi I’m ________ and I’m a pro.”:
I dig chicks that don’t dig wakeboarding, so it rarely comes up in conversation. I think that’s how I landed my cowgirl…The last thing I would want to do is go out on a date and try to talk a babe through the steps of learning the tantrum.
Why ride Slingshot flex?
The best thing about riding a Slingshot is that you can actually feel the water under you. Unlike regular foam boards that remain stiff, Slingshot's flex when you edge, so you can really feel what the water is doing. Add the soft landings, snappy pop, sick 2010 graphics, and you can't beat it. I love our boards. I couldn't imagine going back to a regular foam deck. See for yourself....
